In our culture, a tan is considered desirable. Exposed to images of bronzed and accessorized starlets, we associate a tan with glamour. The suggestion of leisure and exotic destinations, and effortless beauty, is what we want. So, for our own sense of beauty, we try to emulate that nearly perfect skin complexion and tone. Fortunately, the affordability of modern tanning services and beauty treatments make it more accessible to those of us on more mortal budgets.

There are many advantages to being tanned. Tans hide blemishes of the skin and minimize cellulite. They are a great accessory, and let us to wear a greater array of colors, better. We appear healthier, and more relaxed, like we just came back from a vacation.

Its’ one thing to want a tan, another to get one. Simply sun baking gets boring rapidly, and is a bit unreliable. You can’t control how strong the sun is, hence we’re more likely to get burned than tanned, unless we have a good base tan to start with. And it can be difficult to find the time to lie in the sun. Compared to a session in a tanning bed, it can take hours and a lot of peeling to get a decent tan.

Of course, we can always go to a tanning salon. But that has its’ drawbacks too. There’s the traveling time for a start, then you have to fit the appointment into your schedule. And then there’s hygiene. Whilst the antibacterial cleaners are good, there’s nothing like having your own tanning bed for peace of mind.

Having Treatments in the Comfort of your Home

Residential tanning beds are probably the epitome of convenience in the pursuit of gorgeous skin. And if you use tanning salons, you can probably save money over the life of the bed. Provided you’re not overzealous, you can maintain a great color too. And that’s without having to spend hours lying on the beach. Most tanning beds have facial tanners that you can use to lightly tan your face without exposing it too much. And if you add up how much you would spend at the tanning salon over the average life span of a residential tanning bed, its easy to see how it would pay for itself.
